Product Description
The Archaea Boom Catch Basin Model provides two levels of stormwater protection—capturing pollutants above the drain and bioremediating hydrocarbons below the drain. The catch basin insert traps dirt, sediment, oil, grease, and other pollutants before they enter the water system, while the attached boom works inside the catch basin to break down hydrocarbons that pass through.
The boom contains naturally occurring oil-eating microbes that activate on contact with water. Once active, they consume hydrocarbons and leave behind only harmless, natural byproducts. This dual system helps ensure cleaner stormwater and improved water quality in areas where hydrocarbon contamination is a concern.
