Vertical chemical storage tanks from 1 to 6,502 gallons for chemical feed, water treatment, agriculture and process storage. Choose polyethylene, cross-linked polyethylene or polypropylene with a 1.5 or 1.9 specific gravity rating, with NSF 61 certified and FDA compliant models available.
The right chemical tank comes down to three choices: the resin, the wall rating and whether you need a second wall. We carry vertical tanks from Chem-Tainer, Peabody, Custom Roto-Molding and Ronco to cover each one.
A feed tank meters chemical into your system a little at a time. Peabody ProChem process tanks have a pump platform molded into the top, so a metering pump sits right over the tank, and calibration molded in gallons and litres shows what's left.
Many chemicals weigh more than water, and the wall has to be rated for it. A 1.5 specific gravity wall holds liquids up to about 12.5 lb per gallon and a 1.9 wall up to about 16 lb, so check your chemical's weight before you pick a tank.
Compatibility depends on your chemical, its concentration and its temperature. Polyethylene suits general chemical and water storage, cross-linked polyethylene adds impact and stress-crack resistance, and polypropylene covers chemistries polyethylene can't. Our Chem-Tainer and Peabody listings link a chemical resistance chart to check before you order.
Where a leak must never reach the floor, a tank-in-a-tank design holds it. Peabody's double wall tanks are built to meet EPA 40 CFR secondary containment requirements, with a leak detection port for an optional alarm on many models. Shop double wall tanks or secondary containment systems.
Every chemical tank we sell is made to order. Storing drinking water instead? Shop vertical water storage tanks. Otherwise, send your chemical, concentration and temperature with a quote request and we'll help you match the resin and wall.
