A two compartment tank, also called a dual compartment or 2 chamber septic tank, adds a second chamber. Solids settle in the first chamber, and the second gives what's left more time to settle before the liquid moves on to the drainfield. Choose from 1,000, 1,050, 1,300 and 1,500 gallons. Many jurisdictions specify the compartment count for new residential systems, so check what your permit calls for before you order.
Every size comes in two builds. Standard Duty tanks can be buried up to 2 feet deep with gravel backfill, and Heavy Duty tanks up to 4 feet deep with native soil backfill. Both are rated for light lawn traffic only.
