Product Description
The 140 gallon Peabody ProChem Square Chemical Tank packs its capacity into a square footprint for installations where floor space has run out. A ribbed sidewall holds back the deflection that flat-sided tanks normally show, and a 16 inch threaded twist lid with molded-in calibration is standard.
Measuring 23" L x 23" W x 73" H, this ProChem Square Chemical Tank holds 140 gallons and opens through a 16 in lid.
MATERIAL OPTIONS
- LPE 1.5 — Part No.: 01-33921 (NSF/ANSI 61 certified resin)
- LPE 1.9 — Part No.: 01-34322 (NSF/ANSI 61 certified resin)
- XLPE 1.9 — Part No.: 01-34323 (NSF/ANSI 61 certified resin)
FEATURES
- Ribbed sidewall design reduces the deflection typical of flat-sided tanks
- 16 inch threaded twist lid and molded-in calibration in gallons and litres, standard
- Offered in 1.0 water-weight, 1.5 and 1.9 specific gravity, plus XLPE 1.9
- The XLPE version is NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 certified
- Process fittings at additional cost; polypropylene and polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) on request
MATERIAL SELECTION GUIDANCE
Linear polyethylene (LPE) is typically selected for general chemical and water storage; cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) where greater impact and stress-crack resistance is preferred; polypropylene (PPL) and polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) for resin-specific chemistries. Choose based on chemical compatibility first: suitability depends on your specific chemical, its concentration and its temperature, and is the buyer's responsibility to verify before ordering. The specific gravity rating states the heaviest liquid the wall is designed to hold — a 1.5 wall up to about 12.5 lb per gallon, a 1.9 wall up to about 16 lb per gallon.
These are vented, atmospheric storage tanks. Not for pressurized or vacuum service.
